The Thousand Oaks-Westlake Village Community Foundation

Purpose: to advance the educational, civic, economic and cultural interests of the City of Thousand Oaks, the City of Westlake Village and the surrounding area.

Objective: to promote the growth of the City of Thousand Oaks and the City of Westlake Village by developing leadership with a dynamic and innovative vision for the future; linking the business community in partnership with educational, governmental and nonprofit organizations; and serving as a vehicle for research, planning and community education.

Programs: Some of the educational programs under the Foundation’s umbrella include educational scholarships, Leadership Conejo, Principal for Half Day, Teacher of the Month, annual School-to-Career/Regional Occupational Program, Youth Ethics Conference; a Business Resource Center to promote economic development; and the Spirit of the Community Awards Celebration.

Grants: Grants up to $2,500 are given to local tax-exempt organizations and public entities (such as a school or recreation program) on an on-going basis. These organizations must provide programs and services directly benefiting Thousand Oaks or Westlake Village residents. Download an application HERE.
